Bottles aren’t just for Babies

Hello! My name is Emily and I am a full-time physical therapist, Mom, and Army spouse. I wanted to start a blog to help out all those new mommies and daddies out there who maybe at some point had no earthly idea what they are doing. In no universe am I by any means a Paula Dean cooking, Martha Stewart crafting, PTA, Mom of the year Super mom. And for that reason is exactly why I wanted to start this blog.

After my first son was born, I called every new mom and dad I knew asking all sorts of questions from, “Is that poop normal?” to “Am I breastfeeding a vampire?” and the ultimate inquiry “When for the love of Pete is this kid going to start sleeping through the night?”. And no I don’t have all the answers and to be frank I still feel sometimes that I don’t know what the hell I’m doing.

This whole mommy thing has a wicked learning curve but all I know is that my husband and I are trying our darndest, our little boy loves us, and we love him to Jupiter and back. We don’t have the answers but we sure do have some funny stories to tell, some rants and raves, recipes to share, and sometimes the faintest bit of insight.

I hope that one night a weary, red-eyed new mom (or dad) will stumble across this page and get a little giggle in before passing out covered in various baby bodily fluids and wearing last weeks pajamas. I just want to tell them to keep your head up new Mom and Dad you are doing great. As I said in the title, bottles aren’t just for babies, so crack open a bottle of wine (when you have a second to spare) and celebrate life and all the love this little one will bring into your life.

  1. Emily I love reading your take on baby caring. I know you will be a great mom, you were a wonderful baby yourself. I love taking care of you. You were so sweet. Love Ma’am
